My Story
JAMELL PONDER- A native of Rochester, NY, has an inherent
passion for impacting the lives of others. He has a master’s
degree in Social Work and draws from personal experiences which
gives his writing deeper meaning.
He is 9 th of 10 children born to John and Ruby Ponder. For many
years writing has been a multifaceted passion for Jamell.
Sometimes for leisure, other times for coping and mere artistic
expression. His father reading and telling bedtime stories
sparked interest in Jamell for creatively telling tales through
literature.
In 2012 Jamell began his journey as a published author, creating
his autobiographical novel, Your Worst for the Best of Me and
several other novels: When Evil Surged, The Crossover that Won
the Game, Soul Keeper, Bentley’s Revenge, Tainted Love, Those
Days With Daddy. Multiple literary works are in process.
From poetry to novels and screenplays, Jamell has written a
plethora of books, from Romance to mystery/thriller to drama,
memoir to inspirational fiction.
When not writing Jamell enjoys spending time with loved ones,
volunteering, exercising, immersing self in nature, playing
drums and basketball.
